Lensing has invested in a variety of efforts to reduce our impact on the environment. These initiatives range in size and overall impact, but it all contributes to a healthier tomorrow. Learn what we’re doing to be environmentally responsible in our daily operations.

Solar Power

Lensing’s three largest buildings are powered by solar energy. Additionally, our more than 1,100 solar panels are bifacial, meaning they absorb sunlight from both sides (including rays bouncing off our coated roof).

Electric Vehicles

In 2024, Lensing added an electric vehicle to its company fleet to test the feasibility of electric vehicle adoption. The charging station is located at the Sixth Avenue office and available for use to any team members with an electric vehicle.

Our warehouses feature high-efficiency lighting and motion sensors to reduce the amount of energy used for lighting.

Our Information Technology department recycles electronics when company-owned items are retired from use.

Our team members have access to paper and plastic recycling receptacles to keep those items out of our local landfills and water sources.

Donating Discontinued Inventory

At times, we may donate discontinued or slightly damaged inventory to Habitat for Humanity instead of throwing the items in the trash.
